service supports Exchange, Lotus and POP3
Web
Client
provides
subscribers with the ability to integrate ISP email (POP3 like Sympatico or
Yahoo with POP 3 access)
with the BlackBerry handheld.
Each
Web Client accounts comes with an email address user@bell.blackberry.net .
Users
can integrate up to 10 email accounts.
Web
Client can be used with BES so users can get access to POP3 and corporate email
on the same device.
POP3 Support is through the BlackBerry Web Client (This service is replacing the
Internet Edition of the BlackBerry 850/857).
The link to access Web Client is through www.bell.ca/wirelessemail,
then select Web Client Login.
Email
service and web browsing are available in the 1X footprint

Exchange:
Customers
can take advantage of remote access to email with either the desktop redirector
software or the
Blackberry
Enterprise Server (BES)
For
the Desktop redirector, simply load the software onto a PC and leave the
computer running.
The PC will forward all emails out to the device. This software is included in
the box.
The
BES offers full end-to-end security using Triple DES encryption and also offers
IT departments centralized
control and management of the BlackBerry Solution. With BES 3.5 for Exchange
users can get access to Remote address
lookup from the Global Address book as well as Mobile Data Service. This offers
access to other corporate application data
such as the Intranet and corporate databases (SAP).
Important
: The BES comes in either enterprise (ENT) for large deployments or Small
Business (SBM)
for smaller deployments of 5 – 20 users.
It
is only possible to add the 5 user licences to the SBM BES up to 3 times.
All other licences can only be added to the ENT BES.
In
order to upgrade from SBM to ENT, the expansion pack must be purchased which
includes 5 licences.
For
exchange and lotus customers, the service is available with either the desktop
